Language Summer Camps
2026 will be the eighth year of heritage and lesser-taught language summer camps funded by Languages Connect.
Summer camps are an opportunity for heritage language speakers to immerse themselves in their language and culture, while allowing beginners to discover a new language. There have been heritage language camps in Polish, Romanian and Lithuanian and lesser-taught language camps in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Italian over the last number of years.
Post-Primary Students
The two-week camps are for 1st to 5th year post-primary students attending a post-primary school in Ireland. Summer Camps support and inspire students through a combination of fun, creativity, and learning. They provide an opportunity for heritage language speakers to learn more about their language and culture, or for beginners to discover a new language.
