Language Pilot Upskilling Scheme

Language Pilot Upskilling Scheme

Over a third of primary schools over Ireland are now involved in Say Yes to Languages, which is a great way to introduce pupils to learning about languages and cultures. The module has gained even more momentum with the publication of the Primary Curriculum Framework, which will introduce modern foreign languages (MFL) within the primary school setting in a redeveloped primary curriculum.

In line with these developments, the Department of Education has made funding available for a pilot upskilling scheme, offering a variety of courses for primary school teachers to upskill in a foreign language.

New opportunities for teachers will be coming available over the coming months and will be updated here so please check back. You may also wish to sign up for our newsletter and follow our social media channels for further updates.
