We’ve had a busy few months here at Languages Connect! You may have spotted our big orange stand at recent student events – we’re pretty hard to miss!
We want to give a massive thanks to everyone who came to chat to us, enter our competitions and swag some merch. The lucky winners of our our Language Quiz Competitions were announced on Instagram last week and their €150 prizes have been sent out. Keep an eye on our social media for more competitions that will be announced soon.
We kicked things off with School Summit then went on to Higher Options in the RDS and TY show in Punchestown.
Finally at Zeminar, Ireland’s only Professional Wakeboarder, David O’Coaimh, gave a talk representing Languages Connect. David spoke about how his French skills gave him lots of opportunities and advantages in competing, coaching and creating his own line of wake boards!
In the middle of all these events, we also hosted Language Taster Classes on Culture Night with the European Commission. We encouraged the public to come and try and new languages such as German, Irish, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish and Romanian.
