Inspiring Plurilingualism: Stakes and Perspectives in Europe

The conference Inspiring Plurilingualism: Stakes and Perspectives in Europe takes place on Tuesday 29th March 2022 from 9.30am at Eurofound Conference Centre, Dublin 18 and online.

Admission is free and simultaneous interpretation will be available in 8 languages: English, French, German, Bulgarian, Italian, Portuguese, Polish and Greek.

This is presented as part of the French Presidency of the EU Council in association with EUNIC Ireland and the European Commission in Ireland.

Opening remarks will be by Minister of State for European Affairs, Thomas Byrne T.D. and H.E. Vincent Guérend, French ambassador to Ireland. Event will be moderated by Dr Déirdre Kirwan. PPLI Director Karen Ruddock and PPLI Head of Teaching & Learning Dr Kenia Puig are among the speakers on the day. Find the full Programme of Events here

Festival of European Languages

Join the European Union’s Cultural Institutes and the European Commission on Tuesday afternoon, 29 March from 2pm for a new Festival of European Languages.

The European Language Festival will aim to promote foreign language learning. The hybrid event invites members of the public to explore languages on a culture trail by dipping into the culture and language of a variety of countries.

Visit some of Dublin’s cultural institutes and embassies including the Alliance Francaise, the Goethe Institut and Istituto Italiano di Cultura, the Embassies of Greece, Switzerland, Poland and Portugal and Europe House. See the full Programme of Events here
