#ThinkLanguages Opening Ceremony Now Live!

#ThinkLanguages Week 2025 is just around the corner and in preparation for the week of festivities, we have released a brand new Opening Ceremony for schools to kickstart their celebration with!

There are plenty of interviews with people from all walks of life detailing their language learning journeys. There is sure to be something for everyone!

This year our hosts met with a number of people across the world, gaining an insight into their experience learning and speaking a foreign language.

Gráinne Mullins advocates for sticking with your Leaving Cert language while Méabh McMahon encourages everyone to step out of their comfort zone. TikTok star Yuji Beleza shows how to make connections through language learning and Coach Ozzy talks through some exercises while teaching us a bit of Portuguese! We also hear from Erasmus students Shane Hurley as well as Eleanor Dunne who is working for a year abroad.
