MS Readathon 2025
MS Readathon 2025
Try reading in another language!
We’re delighted to once again partner with the MS Readathon, Ireland’s largest sponsored reading initiative, supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis.
Since 1988, the MS Readathon has been encouraging children to discover the joy of reading while raising vital funds for an incredible cause.
Simply read whatever you enjoy, as much as you can, from 1 November to 15 December.
This year, we’re proud to bring back the foreign language category, offering children the chance to explore books in a different language. For those with a heritage language other than English or Irish, it’s a wonderful opportunity to read together and celebrate their linguistic roots.
And yes – there are prizes to be won!

Competition to win book bundles!
Languages Connect have sponsored plenty of prizes for the winners of this brilliant reading challenge! Book vouchers and bundles will be on offer for individual as well as class winners
To be in with a chance to win one of these great prizes, participants must raise €50 or more and read and log at least one book in a foreign language (excluding English & Irish).
Every €50 raised will get you another entry into the draw!
For inspiration on what language to choose, check out Explore Languages to find a language that best suits your interests. For ideas of what books you might read, check out our Recommended Reading Lists which are aimed at children and young people.
Children can register to take part in the MS Readathon with their school (teachers, you can register your class) or individually.
