Languages Connect Summit – Saturday 14 October 2023
Early bird registration for the Languages Connect Summit is officially open. Taking place on Saturday 14 October 2023 the event is the first of its kind for Modern Foreign Language teaching and learning in Ireland and is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Education, PDST, JCT, COGG, Léargas, teacher colleagues and Post-Primary Languages Ireland.
Collaborate and Celebrate Languages
Taking place in the Convention Centre Dublin, the summit will be a celebration of language teaching and learning and provides an opportunity for language teachers and stakeholders to collaborate with an expansive network of MFL representative and learn new skills and strategies through diverse and innovative workshops, with over fifty to choose from!
Tools and strategies to support increasing the profile of languages in schools will be provided while leading keynote speakers, Prof Terry Lamb and Dr María Luisa Pérez Cañado, will present innovative content relevant to today’s context for teaching languages.
To top off the day, author and broadcaster Dermot Whelan will address the importance of wellbeing for all – the educator and the person.
